911 In Emergency
The Macomb County Sheriff's Marine Division patrols Lake St. Clair and it's connecting waterways. Our patrol area covers approximately 89 square miles of Lake St. Clair, 30.5 miles of shoreline and approximately 57 miles of connecting rivers, canals and streams. Lake St. Clair is considered the busiest body of freshwater per square mile in the world. The marine division has over 100 volunteer marine safety officers. We are private citizens who volunteer time to assist with patrol duties, special events and parade details. We are trained by the sheriff's department and sworn to enforce marine law.
If planning an outing on the water or frozen lake please download the "float-plan", fill it out properly, and give it to a family member in case of an emergency. This can save valuable time if the need ever arises. Download HERE.
Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Weekend!
